Who We Are Looking
Haque & Sons Ltd. continuously recruits qualified and dedicated seafarers for deployment across our managed fleet of over 240 vessels. We welcome applications from certified officers, ratings, and cadets across a wide range of vessel types.

- Deck Officers: Master, Chief Officer, Second Officer, Third Officer

Vessel Types We Deploy Crew On
Haque & Sons Ltd. deploys qualified officers and ratings across a diverse fleet of internationally trading vessels. Our seafarers are trained and experienced to serve on container carriers, chemical tankers (Type I & II), crude oil tankers, product tankers (Handymax, Aframax, and VLCC), bulk carriers (Capesize, Panamax, and Handymax), general cargo vessels, log carriers, car carriers, LPG carriers, and LNG carriers.
With extensive experience across multiple vessel segments, we ensure that every seafarer is matched to the appropriate vessel type, delivering safe, efficient, and professional crew management solutions for our international principals.
What We Require from Seafarers
At Haque & Sons Ltd., we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, safety, and competence. All applicants must meet the qualifications and documentation requirements relevant to their rank and vessel type.
Candidates should possess valid STCW 2010 certification, a valid Continuous Discharge Certificate (CDC) and any required flag state documentation, a medical fitness certificate issued by an accredited medical facility, and relevant sea service experience on similar vessel types. Applicants must also provide clean drug and alcohol test results and successfully complete a personal interview conducted by our experienced Master Mariners and Chief Engineers as part of our selection process.

At Haque & Sons Ltd., every seafarer undergoes a comprehensive selection process to ensure the highest standards of competence, professionalism, and safety. Our experienced Master Mariners and Chief Engineers personally interview each candidate, verify professional certifications and sea service records, and confirm medical fitness before approving them for deployment.
By maintaining a rigorous recruitment and screening process, we ensure that only qualified, reliable, and well-prepared seafarers join our active pool—providing our principals with the confidence that every crew member meets the highest international standards.
Shore-Based Career Opportunities
Haque & Sons Ltd. offers shore-based career opportunities across multiple departments in our Chittagong head office and our regional offices in Dhaka and Khulna.
Crew Management Department
We look for experienced maritime professionals, particularly ex-seafarers with Master Mariner or Chief Engineer credentials, to join our crew management team as superintendents, crew coordinators, and manning executives.
Superintendents at Haque & Sons Ltd. conduct regular onboard vessel visits, monitor crew performance and welfare, and act as the direct link between our management and our principals. This is a demanding and rewarding role that requires genuine at-sea experience and strong interpersonal skills.Shipping Agency and Port Agency
We recruit experienced shipping and port agency professionals for our agency department in Chittagong. Suitable candidates will have knowledge of Bangladesh port procedures, Chittagong Port Authority regulations, Bangladesh customs requirements, and vessel operations.
Training Department
Our maritime training institutions, International Maritime Academy and Bangladesh Maritime Training Institute, recruit qualified Master Mariners and Chief Engineers as instructors and training coordinators.
Instructors at IMA and BMTI must have extensive practical experience on the vessel types and subjects they teach. We are looking for people who are passionate about developing the next generation of Bangladeshi seafarers and who can bring genuine at-sea knowledge into the classroom and simulator environment.Freight Forwarding and Logistics Department
We recruit experienced freight forwarding, customs clearance, and logistics professionals for our shipping operations in Chittagong.

Our marine travel division, Marine Travel Agency Limited, recruits travel coordinators and logistics staff with experience in maritime crew travel, hotel coordination, and passenger logistics
Administrative and Support Roles

Training and Upgrading for Seafarers
All seafarers in our active pool have access to training and upgrading programs through Bangladesh Maritime Training Institute. When new regulations come into force, we ensure our seafarers are trained and certified before they need to be. When a seafarer is ready to upgrade their rank, we support that process through our training programs.
Cadet Program
Through International Maritime Academy For those entering the maritime profession for the first time, our International Maritime Academy offers a structured 36-month program producing certified nautical and engineering officers. IMA graduates are directly absorbed into our managed fleet on a five-year contract, giving them immediate career security after certification.
