Haque & Sons Ltd.
Haque & Sons Ltd. was founded in 1948 in Chittagong, Bangladesh, by the late Al-Haj Abdul Haque Chowdhury. What started as a construction and import/export business has grown into Bangladesh’s most respected maritime company.
Today, we manage over 241 vessels worldwide and maintain a pool of more than 4,000 STCW-certified seafarers. Our clients span Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Greece, Norway, Cyprus, the United Kingdom, and India.
Our head office is in Chittagong, with regional units in Dhaka and Khulna, and representative offices in Japan, Canada, Myanmar, and Pakistan.

The company has been guided by Mr. E.H. Chowdhury, son of the founder, since 1967. With over 40 years of hands-on experience in the international shipping industry, he has built Haque & Sons Ltd. into the premier crew management and shipping company in Bangladesh.
Our shore-based management team includes ex-Masters, Chief Engineers, and Radio Officers. These are professionals who have sailed the seas themselves and understand the industry from the inside out.

We were the first shipping agent in Bangladesh to receive ISO 9001:2015 certification, awarded by DNV. We were also the first shipping company in Bangladesh to be certified under MLC 2006, achieving this in January 2012, well ahead of the industry requirement.
